Less than a 1 year watch!,
This review is from: U.S. Polo Assn. Men's US8083 Gun Metal/Black Plastic Analog-Digital Sporty Bracelet Watch (Watch)I bought this after Christmas last year at JCPennys for more than what it is listed here on Amazon. I initially noticed a black ring on my wrist after wearing this all day. The black tone to the metal was rubbing off. I liked the features so much on the watch that I tolerated this... after all, it was just the inside of the band. Now, as I look at it sitting on my desk, the buttons are all this worn, rusty color... the stainless steel 'coating' is gone. The band is heavily worn... now matching the inside and as of about a month ago the movements have ceased, done, no more. The digital still works fine, so to buy myself some time as I look for a solid watch for a reasonable price, I've just moved the hands to 9 & 3 so that I can read the digital. I love the blue back light (nice feature).
I've not abused this watch at all. While I wear it everyday it has never been abused... for much of the day I let it sit on my desk so it does not scratch up my laptop as I work... Read more

This watch will finish the day ahead of all other watches... (it gains time at well over one second a day...),
This review is from: U.S. Polo Assn. Men's US8083 Gun Metal/Black Plastic Analog-Digital Sporty Bracelet Watch (Watch)I bought this watch at Kohl's for less than $15, which is about what it is worth, so I am going to say I got my money's worth out of it, with less than two months use. I had a difficult time rating this watch. It does have a great appearance when initially purchased, but within a month or two of average use, that goes away, and the time keeping abilities are poor at best. I wanted to give the watch a two, but looking at it, I changed my review to a one star, as I have purchased many watches in the past thirty to forty years, and this has got to be the worse one to date.
Instructions are easy enough to understand, although the digital display can be difficult to view, as the angle of the watch can be a factor. You'll find yourself twisting your arm back and forth to see the display.
As another reviewer stated, the time is not accurate. I estimate that my digital part to the watch is actually gaining 2 - 3 seconds per day. I have compared my watch to... Read more

This review is from: U.S. Polo Assn. Men's US8083 Gun Metal/Black Plastic Analog-Digital Sporty Bracelet Watch (Watch)Bought this watch for the look (analog-digital combo and black face). And it was cheap - I think I paid less than or around $20.
As one reviewer stated it is a glossy finish (until it wears through) and as another pointed out, the black strip down the center of the band are soft plastic pieces. It is a bit large and gaudy appearing to my tastes. For viewing in the dark, the large well-lit digits are easy to read (big part of the initial appeal).
Not a watch a I wear often, but nonetheless, the band is showing wear faster than other metal watches I've had. Bigger problem is the cheap attachment of the clasp to the actual links. The metal is so thin it seems to flex a bit and slips over the pin which holds it in place. That may not make sense ... basically the band "breaks" in two at this point, the pin falls out, and the watch falls to the floor. Luckily the half-dozen times it's done this I've found all the parts. I mashed the flange that holds the pin in... Read more
